Alocasia Venom is a striking rare collector plant, regarded in the aroid world as a spontaneous mutation of Alocasia × amazonica. Its story begins as an unexpected form noticed in cultivation by Mason Lee of Mason Plants in South Korea around 2019, before making its way into collector circles a few years later.
In ‘Venom’, that form takes on a stronger, more sculptural shape. The leaves have a dark, graphic presence, with sharp contours and a dramatic outline that gives the plant its name.

Care
Like many Alocasia, it rewards steady conditions rather than fuss, bright indirect light, warmth, good humidity, and a loose, airy aroid mix that lets the roots breathe.
Keep the substrate lightly moist but never waterlogged, avoid cold draughts and allow the plant time to settle between leaves. Under good care, Alocasia Venom becomes a compact, theatrical collector’s plant — dark, sharp, and full of character.
