Alocasia Lauterbachiana Aurea Variegated replaces the broad, shield-shaped foliage associated with many Alocasias with something far more linear and architectural. Long, sword-like leaves rise in a strong upright silhouette, their rippled green edges illuminated by streaks and washes of lime, yellow and warm gold.
The aurea variegation follows the movement of the leaf. It may appear as a narrow flare running along the blade, a mottled green-on-green transition or a broader sweep of luminous yellow.

Care
Place in bright, indirect light to support strong growth and visible aurea colour, while protecting the leaves from harsh direct sun. Pale variegated areas can scorch more readily than green tissue. Water when the top layer of compost has dried, then allow excess water to drain completely. Keep warm, away from cold draughts, and provide medium to high humidity with gentle airflow. Use an open, free-draining, peat-free aroid mix.
