The Anthurium Dark Phoenix is a dark hybrid with an eye catching texture and deep colouration. A cross between Anthurium papillilaminum 'Variegata' as the mother plant and Anthurium 'Ace of Spades' as the pollen donor - Its velvety leaves carry a rich dark-green tone, crossed by contrasting veins that sharpen the surface and give the foliage an almost illuminated structure.
Dark Anthuriums reward close observation. The velvet finish absorbs light while reflecting a sheen of iridescence , changing the character of the leaf as the viewing angle shifts.

Care
Grow in bright, indirect light and protect the velvety foliage from harsh direct sun. Water when the compost is approaching dryness, then allow excess water to drain completely. Keep warm at approximately 18–30°C, away from cold draughts, and provide high humidity with regular gentle airflow. Use an airy, mildly acidic aroid mix that holds some moisture while draining sharply.
